Thanks for answering, Michelle. I've heard of the heat-set oils before but have never tried them. Is it the Genesis brand that you use? As for me, I work almost exclusively in acrylics ~ :)
Hi Michelle, I've been absent from the site for a while but thought I'd pop over to see what you've been up to. I am in awe of your work....I particularly love your koala and deer. It appears that you work in a variety of mediums? Do you have a favourite?
Hi you deserve it as your art is beautiful. You took over some of my prizes but I won't hold it against you. LOL!! Jenni said about one of my paintings the thing i was going to do when it got back home so that was good as it reinforced my idea. Yes thanks my eye operation went well. that was my second one done. Just a breeze with both not a pain at all just annoying to be one eyed having to wear a patch for a week and not drive. By the way you won't see many sales at Bell but I have always supported the little community. Another place to get know. I have just come back from the gym. I go every morning after I drop my daughter off at the bus....have a good day..........Sandy
Hi Michelle, how did you go at Bell. this year I only scored a H/C that is two H/C in a month so will have to do something about that. Hope you had loads of success..........Sandy
It was the year Annelise won the wildlife section and the champion of the show was out the front as you walked in. It was a farmer with grain silos in the background......very well done it was. I sold last year but not that year. Off to paint.....sandy
Hi good morning, I was just looking at your dolphin. Is that the one that sold at the Brisbane Ekka two years ago?? I didn't get to the show last year as I was overseas. I remember one very similar to this hanging on the wall. I could even tell you where it was hanging as the painting left an impression on me............Sandy
Hi, I have always support Bell's art show. I was also surprised that they had 390 entries. Jenni Kelly was judge at the show this year. I usually do okay so see what this year brings. Yes I put in two paintings that were pastels. the kitten and Miss Grubby Face a portrait. Did you make it to the Pine Rivers QWASI Art Exhibition. That is the first QWASI art exhibition I have ever missed. I had a cateract removed from my eye and couldn't drive. Sandy
Hi Michelle saw you were on line so came in to say hellow. Just see you are now off line Must have just missed you. What beautiful work you have presented on your site, They are wow and wow. Thanking you for sharing.....Sandy
Hello Michelle - great to hear from you and thank you for your encouraging comments. My apologies for not responding sooner. I have landed a huge comission for a building going up in Chermside. The wonderful thing is that it is mostly flora and fauna and I am pretty tied up in my studio and really enjoying the process! 7 massive canvases! It is my biggest break in 10 years. I applied for this by submitting my portfolio to the architects 2 years ago...and forgot about it. Never give up! To add to the excitement of this, I have the Graydon exhibition coming up in March. I am sharing with 2 other artists and that makes the work load easier. The biggest part will be the marketing. I hope to get a marketing expert involved to help me with that side of things. I'll be able to tell you more once it all evolves and I come up for air. You have to be pretty well organised and share the load with a few faithful supporters. I'll keep you and Oz Nature Niche in the picture with dates and details. You take care and keep painting those amazing works. You're a genius!
Thank you for your lovely compliment on my work. WOW, your work is absolutely stunning! I oooh-ed and aaah-ed at every pic.....such beautiful work!

Hi Michelle,... Thanks for the lovely comments, your work is superb....
Ummm.... I've illustrated self help books, children's picture books, fantasy covers, provided black and white illustrations for teen fiction/fantasy... I'm currently working as an illustrator, dedicating most of my time to children's picture books.
Thanks for asking.
Take care, Aaron.
Michelle, your page is looking stunning and I adore the way in which you have set it up. Your artwork is outstanding as well of course. I stumbled across the plastic holders in Office Works and they have all shapes and sizes which accomodate larger matted prints as well.
Thanks for that! I do receive their emails and have entered a couple of works - I was actually going to call you about it, but have had the whole family here from Hong Kong and have been flat out - nearly missed the deadline myself! I thought you would be in the know, anyway.
Did you enter the Phascogales in the Tweed? Are you aware that Currumbin has reverted to the Frog theme?
Cheers
Lise

Hi Michelle
I never realized that these were maligned birds. However, As some one of Aboriginal descent, I do know though that these birds can be both birds of ill tidings, like the red tailed black cockatoos. But that other Indigenous groups love them, particularly in West Australia!

Hi Michelle
Loved your paintings. And especially liked the ones of the stone curlews. These little birds are so real, and lifelike in their expressions. They remind me of a pair of culrews that nest right in the middles of the Brisbane botanic gardens. Everyone seems to just walk past them without seeing them. Amazing camouflage they have.

Outstanding work.
Your diversity in the subjects reveals real talent.
