Goodbye my little buddy!

Our cat "Domino" who has been with us for 15 years has been very sick these past few days and after a second blood test this morning she has been diagnosed with having an incurable cancer so we made the heart wrenching decision of putting her "to sleep" and I am an emotional wreck at the moment. Domino was a beautiful cat who enjoyed a wonderfully happy life and I know it was the right decision but it's still very, very hard and I miss her so much.

Nature Journaling in Currumbin Valley

A few weeks ago I visited Currumbin Valley in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Queensland which is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. The drive through the valley was stunning with canopies of green trees over-hanging the narrow roadway which wound its way past homesteads, scattered along this scenic drive. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday morning with hardly any other traffic on this secluded twisty road. I had my binoculContinue

Hi Lesley,

I've just read your message about the site. I have not experienced slowness whenever I've been on the site - which isn't often enough and I apologoize - time just goes so quickly.

Hi Lesley, thanks for you feedback on my photos, it's nice to know that someone other than me appreciates the sometimes quirky creatures we have here (like the jumping spider). I've been feeling extremely dejected with my photography lately - I feel I've improved dramatically, but still haven't sold a single print. The only occasional work I can get is photographing babies and wedding receptions (and between you and I, I'm not fond of either, and it's not what I want to be doing). I have potentially dozens of what I think are world class photographs of Australian animals, insects and landscapes along with my fine art abstract works - so how do I get it moving? any suggestions? because I'm struggling with where to go from here.

Thanking you Leslie, the soft background is how the Queen Mary Falls outside Warwick looks like after rain early morning. The mist hangs over the valley. My favourite place to bush walk. I painted with this image in mind. A private school bought the piece for their collection.......Sandy

Hi Lesley,

A big THANK YOU for all the new updates on the site and thank you also for the article on time management. That's one area I really need help with, being a busy mum and an artist is no an easy mix.

Cheers,
Geri
