Such a beautiful photo of your little Domino! So sad to hear of your loss, I know how you feel. I'm a bit of a cry baby when I lose a pet, takes me forever to come to terms with the loss. I still miss my little chihuahua Mistsy who died three year...

- Hi Kathy, yes I have joined. It took me awhile to work out how to get BIG pictures into Red Bubble. No one could give me any answers so over to Leslie and she explained. It is so easy when you know. Like most thing in life. I have put my King Parrot but haven't done a large picture of him yet. I have loaded a landscape that I did and it looks very good with the way they set it all up with matts and black frame.....Catch you over there.........Sandy

You certainly have an eye for finding the beauty in the ordinary things we so often take for granted, like bark and rocks. I have done a painting of a closeup of paperbark. The topic was trees, but I was very attracted to the rocks in the area. I play around with textures a lot and am finding myself looking at rocks at the moment. Your photographs are exquisite - I just love the blues which seem unusual in rocks.

- Kathie, even although you didn't sell this time round, you have your first show's experience under your belt and as you say, meeting and talking with fellow artists is worth its weight in gold and the chance to network is wonderful. I'm glad you did it and it's worth it just for the experience alone. It's a tough, competitive world out there for artists, especially in our current economic state of affairs. Lesley

Donating profits from the Sales of my artwork on Red Bubble to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal
Just thought I'd let everyone know that I am donating the profits from any sales on my Red Bubble website to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, until the end of March.
I had my first sale today for this, someone kindly purchased a print of my "Cherry Blossoms II". How exciting!! Red Bubble support are organising the collection of the monies and are also donating dollar for dollar. What a fab team at Red Bubble.

BUSY MAKING DOLLARS...LOL!
I've been pretty busy these last few months taking microstock photos. Since I've joined Shutterstock 2 months ago I have made over $200. I haven't had one day without making a sale. Its been a huge learning curve for me which I am enjoying thoroughly. So if you would like to check it out here at this link:

HAPPY NEW YEAR
Just like to wish everyone here at Oz Nature Niche a Happy and Prosperous New Year. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I now have my daughter, her husband and my little 18 month granddaughter living with us. So a very busy household indeed. Will take a while to get into some sort of routine now...lol...but its really awesome to have them here. Hopefully I'll pop back soon with some of my latest photos. xxx

Australian Calendars
Well I finally got around to putting together some calendars on my Red Bubble Website There are three series with my abstract nature photography. One is a collection of photos taken from the Australian Paperbark Tree, the second a collection of photos taken from Australian Gum Trees and a third of my abstract rock photos. GIMP
Well I finally had the Ram in my laptop increased to 1 gig (not much but better than none) and have downloaded the free GIMP program. So now I can play!!! Gosh, I think it's gonna take a while to learn this. I tried to isolate an image with the magic scissors but it wouldn't work for me. Doin' something wrong...not even sure if I downloaded it correctly. I searched and found some tutorials on You Tube, but didn't find anything that was easy to follow.
