This is another gorgeous photo Helen, you must have some beautiful birds where you live.

We have heaps of capeweed, the birds love them , they dig them up and eat the roots, when we were kids we used to make daisy chains , which was a lot of fun. They do look pretty, and are a great food source for some birds.Really nice photo Michelle.

Hi Julie, long time since I have been on this site. We enjoyed our holidays and no we didn't do both islands this time.
The first time we did a bus tour and did the both islands. Then we went back the following year and hired a car and did the both islands again. This time we just went to Christchurch and Auckland. We fly back into Sydney and had a few days there to sort of unwind from N.Z and then flew home.

I have left my goodbys on the T site. What are you going to do? Sandy

Thank you very much Julie, yes, today is my 49th Birthday! Did this site notify you because I included Birthdays a long time ago yet could never see any in the side bar. I am intrigued now as to how you knew. Lesley

Keep safe and keep painting...........Sandy

I love your kookaburras, Julie. Well done! I particularly like the shadows on their tummies and the browns in the background. It's a very appealing painting.
P.S. Cockatoos are 5 ft wide - wow!

Gosh you are up early!! But I guess...so am I!! Thankyou Julie, I was just so relaxed and happy with this painting - it felt effortless to do. I am having a full on "love affair" with canvas!

An early good morning to you too. That is quite easy with pastels. You do a watercolour painting and then finish off with pastels. The cockie and some background and the bough is all that is left of the watercolour and then I came in and did the flowers and leaves in pastels. They are fun doing.

How are your chooks going??? I left a message in your page but it didn't make it too the screen. I said to keep the spirits up and that I liked your right hand chook as you had the look in the eye just perfect.

Thanking you for the lovely review much appreciated........Have fun Sandy
