Haven't heard of pan pastel. Will have to go and look in our art shop. I doubt that they would have them. I did my chimp in pastels. I did pastels a few years back but gave them up and have only got back to them. I have to remember to be looser in my style. I was talking to a lady in America and she uses a pastel board done on a frame for her pastels. She uses oils they must be wet as she said the pastels (certain colours) bled into the oils. Her paintings were delicious to say the least

has anyone tried the new pan pastels???? wondered what you thought of them. I brought some a few months ago from the states before they where for sale here but found them to be hard to work with.

Hi everyone,

Cat the tree frogs artwork logo for the fine artists group is a pastel drawing I did a while ago of two white-lipped tree frogs. I agree with everyone that you can never have enough pastels or art materials....

Hi Cat and Jools:) Cat at least you use your pastels, I keep buying them but don't use them any more (sshhh don't tell my hubby!). Some women buy shoes, I buy art supplies;)

Hi my name is Julie...but known as Jools (as opposed to "jewels"..Lol!) its wonderful to be here with other Aussies - great idea!!! Those tree frogs are magical...love the colours and definition of the muscles in their backs, good stuff!!! I see my art as a means to remind the world that we have so much to treasure and keep safe!

Hi! I'm Michelle from WA:)

Those tree frogs are great - I'm just about to start a couple of paintings of some red eye tree frogs which should be fun!
